LifeSci Logistics Celebrates Launch of World’s First veliPod™ with Long-Term Partner Velico

LifeSci Logistics is proud to celebrate a significant milestone alongside our long-standing client and partner, Velico, following the inauguration of the world’s first veliPod™ at the French Armed Forces Blood Transfusion Centre (CTSA) in Paris.

This groundbreaking achievement marks a major advancement in military medicine, trauma care, and blood resilience, demonstrating that decentralised plasma manufacturing is no longer a future concept but an operational reality.

Powered by Velico’s FrontlineODP™ manufacturing system, the veliPod™ is a containerised spray-dried plasma production facility designed to enable sovereign, scalable plasma production without the constraints of traditional cold-chain logistics. In an increasingly complex global environment, innovations such as the veliPod™ offer nations greater preparedness, self-sufficiency, and operational resilience.

For LifeSci Logistics, the launch represents the culmination of years of collaboration with Velico and support for a programme that has evolved from an innovative concept to a world-first deployment.

Over the course of our partnership, LifeSci has played a key role in supporting the movement, installation, and positioning of Velico’s advanced plasma production systems across multiple international locations. Through our specialist DOPsys™ (Deliver, Offload, Position) service, our teams have helped ensure that critical equipment reaches its destination safely, compliantly, and ready for operation.
